Iran is ready to resume atomic discussions with Washington provided that it is treated with "respect" and "respect", Tehran's top diplomat has announced.

The Iranian diplomat stated only diplomacy was effective, and disclosed fresh requests had come from mediators to restart discussions with the American leadership. Subsequently, EU nations employed their right to reinstate global restrictions, but Iran asserts they have not had a substantial consequence.

Ideal Resolution Offered

Tehran representatives said they felt they had achieved a "magic solution" to the uranium processing matter in previous talks, when it was settled an Iran-based consortium with US participation could enrich uranium. Each party would have been able to declare success since domestic enrichment would have persisted and the US could be certain that Iran's nuclear programme was entirely non-military.

It had not been settled in the talks that American atomic experts could operate on Iranian soil, but that was a reasonable assumption of the consortium proposal. The Iranian foreign ministry has been charged of inactivity in the aftermath of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran states diplomacy is not part of a performance.

In his remarks to the gathering, aimed to depict the US as a hegemonic power that misuses the idea of global regulations, the foreign minister stated the 12-day war demonstrated the clash could not be settled by combat operations.
