Rallying from a sixteen-point hole in the final period, the Seattle squad emerged victorious 38-37 at home, registering their fifth straight victory.
While the Rams had become the first to earn a playoff spot earlier on Sunday, the Seahawks booked their return to the postseason after a 24-month hiatus.
With this result, the Seattle have taken over their division's standings with a 12-3 record, replacing the Los Angeles, who dropped to the number five playoff position with an 11-4 standing.
